A salmon heading up Gilles Creek to spawn. Seeing this one here was a surprise to the biologists in the area. They didn't think the salmon came this far up Shaw Creek anymore. We didn't see to many partners for it so who knows if this strain of salmon will continue on for many years to come but it was neat to see this one. One totally weird thing being in the interior instead of on the coast is the bright colors that all the salmon have at this point. I still haven't gotten used to it.
